On the 2 year anniversary of his murder and a couple weeks after the commemorative street name was changed to George Perry Floyd Square, a sign was revealed. Afterwards the community held an Angelversary Candlelight Vigil at Say Their Names Cemetery. Part of the Minneapolis Uprising documentation following the May 25, 2020 murder of George Floyd.
