George Floyd Mural on Nicollet Avenue, South Minneapolis

A mural reading "BE KIND... STAY BRAVE! WE ARE ALL GEORGE FLOYD" is painted on the side of a building on Nicollet Avenue in South Minneapolis. This artwork appeared in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd, a Black man who died in police custody in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020. The mural became a symbol of solidarity and a visual representation of the widespread grief and anger that fueled the subsequent protests and uprisings in the city and across the nation. Nicollet Avenue, a major thoroughfare in Minneapolis, became a focal point for many of these public expressions of dissent and remembrance.
