RiverCity Trolley Stop Sign, Hennepin Avenue, Uptown Minneapolis

RiverCity Trolley operated as a rubber-tired trolley service in downtown and uptown Minneapolis, ferrying riders between shopping districts, entertainment venues, and parking facilities on a fixed loop. The service relied on street-side stop signs like this one to mark designated pickup points along Hennepin Avenue. Trolleys of this style are designed to resemble vintage streetcars, with open-air or enclosed cars built on standard bus chassis. Hennepin Avenue itself has long served as one of Uptown's primary commercial corridors, connecting the neighborhood to downtown Minneapolis.
