“Where There’s People There’s Power” at George Floyd Square

George Floyd Square sits at the intersection of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis. The property was formerly a Speedway gas station before it closed following the May 2020 death of George Floyd nearby. In 2021, the city of Minneapolis purchased the station with plans to turn it into a permanent memorial space.
