The Duluth & Iron Range Railroad depot in Two Harbors, Minnesota, opened in 1907 to serve the region's booming iron ore trade. The railroad hauled ore from the Vermilion and Mesabi ranges down to the Lake Superior docks, and Two Harbors grew up around that shipping business. Passenger and depot operations continued here until 1961. The building is now home to the Lake County Historical Society's railroad museum, which displays historic locomotives and equipment on the adjacent grounds.
