Hotel El Cortecito in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, is a low-rise hotel complex arranged around a palm-lined courtyard with pedestrian walkways and small balconies. The property’s turquoise facades, terracotta columns, white balustrades, and open-air circulation are characteristic of smaller locally built coastal accommodations that predated the large all-inclusive resort compounds that later came to dominate the Punta Cana area.
