Cyclists and pedestrians utilize the Midtown Greenway in Minneapolis at sunset. This 5.7-mile paved trail follows a former railroad corridor, offering a vital transportation and recreation link through the city. Opened in phases starting in 2000, the Greenway transformed a disused industrial right-of-way into a popular urban path. It connects various neighborhoods in South Minneapolis, providing a safe and accessible route for biking, walking, and commuting, separate from vehicular traffic.
