24 Demands at the Peoples Way George Floyd Square
The intersection of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis, known as George Floyd Square or The People's Way, became a focal point of protest following the murder of George Floyd on May 25, 2020. The area was occupied by activists and community members for an extended period, serving as a space for remembrance, activism, and community organizing. Signs and barricades, such as those visible in the photograph, marked the perimeter and communicated messages related to justice and the group's demands.
