George Floyd Square: Balloons Released for 48th Birthday

George Floyds Family Releasing Balloons
Family and friends of George Floyd gathered at George Floyd Square in Minneapolis to commemorate his 48th birthday. The event, organized by the George Floyd Global Memorial, included the release of balloons by Floyd's aunt Angela Harrelson, his cousin Paris Stevens, and Jeanelle Austin. George Floyd Square has become a significant site of remembrance and activism following Floyd's murder in May 2020.

George Floyd’s aunt Angela Harrelson, his cousin Paris Stevens, Jeanelle Austin along with friends of George Floyd release balloons on what would have been his 48th birthday. 

The event at George Floyd Square was put together by the George Floyd Global Memorial.
