The burned remains of a furniture store on Chicago Avenue in South Minneapolis stand in partial ruin on June 11, 2020. The image shows surviving brick side walls and a debris-filled interior after the building was destroyed by fire during the unrest that followed the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis in late May 2020. Damage to businesses along this corridor left visible gaps in the commercial streetscape weeks after the fire.
