Candles bearing the names of victims of police violence are illuminated at George Floyd Square in Minneapolis. The memorial was established following the murder of George Floyd on May 25, 2020, and has since become a site of remembrance and protest. The names on the candles, such as Breonna Taylor and others, represent individuals whose lives were lost due to police brutality.
