On the 2 year anniversary of his murder and a couple weeks after the commemorative street name was changed to George Perry Floyd Square, a sign was revealed. Afterwards the community held an Angelversary Candlelight Vigil at Say Their Names Memorial.

Police move in to clear out barricaded streets around memorials set up for Winston Smith and Deona Marie. Winston Smith was killed by law enforcement on June 3rd and Deona Marie was killed when a man drove his vehicle through barricades into protesters on June 13th.

Around a thousand protesters gathered outside of the Holiday Gas station at Cedar and 36th in South Minneapolis seeking justice for Dolad Idd. Dolad Idd was shot and killed by Minneapolis Police on December 30th, 2020 during a traffic stop. This was the first police officer killing since George Floyd a mile away on May 25th, 2020.
